Features

Prospect research that shows its work.

The big screening vendors give you a score. Donorlens gives you the evidence behind it, and lets your team correct it.

Capacity, propensity and a suggested ask

Each donor gets a five-year giving capacity from real estate, stock, business ownership, income, foundation assets and past gifts, plus a 0–100 propensity score. You see exactly which rule produced each dollar.

Real estate$263K
Stock$680K
Foundation$210K
Past gifts$250K

AI research with citations

A research agent reads news, annual reports, donor honor rolls and board pages, then writes a gift-officer summary. Links that don’t check out are flagged.

Confirm or reject in one click

Common names cause false matches. Every finding has a match score; reject the ones that aren’t your donor and the rating recalculates instantly.

Import your whole file

Upload a CSV from Bloomerang, Salesforce, DonorPerfect, Little Green Light or a spreadsheet. Columns are matched automatically and duplicates skipped.

Your whole team

Invite gift officers and researchers with their own roles. Work across several organizations from one account.

Responsible by design

Public information only, no sensitive categories, a permitted-use agreement, and one click to erase a donor’s research when they ask.

Data sources

Public records first, then the open web.

Government data is reliable and free. Web research fills in what records can’t see, and uses those records to confirm it found the right person.

How it works

From a donor list to a prospect pipeline.

1

Add your donors

Type one in or import a CSV. Names and a city are enough; employer and ZIP make matches sharper.

2

Screen

Each donor takes about a minute. Screen one, a hand-picked list, or everyone who hasn’t been screened yet.

3

Review and act

Confirm what’s right, reject what isn’t, then export ratings and suggested asks back to your CRM.

Pricing

Questions

Good to know.

Is wealth screening legal and ethical?

Yes, when it uses public information for fundraising. It’s standard practice at most large nonprofits. Donorlens uses only public records and public web pages, skips sensitive categories like health and religion, and asks every organization to agree that results won’t be used for credit, employment, insurance or housing decisions, which keeps it outside the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Donors can ask you to delete their research at any time.

How accurate are the ratings?

As accurate as the matches behind them. Every finding has a match score and a source, and anything under 60% doesn’t count until someone confirms it. Ratings are estimates meant to help you decide who to meet and what to ask, not facts about anyone’s finances.

How long does a screening take?

About a minute per donor with web research, a few seconds with public records alone. Bulk screenings run in the background; you can close the tab.

Which CRMs can I import from?

Anything that exports CSV: Bloomerang, Salesforce NPSP, DonorPerfect, Little Green Light, Raiser’s Edge, Neon, Kindful, or a spreadsheet. Export puts ratings, capacity and suggested asks in a CSV you can import back.

Who can see our donors’ research?

Only members of your organization. Each organization’s data is kept separate, and our support staff can only open your dashboard when helping you, which is logged.

What counts as a screening?

Each time a donor is researched, including re-screening after you add details. Allowances reset on the 1st of each month. Sample donors are free.
